Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Microbiology: Join the Faculty of Biology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München for a postdoctoral research opportunity in molecular microbiology. Work with Desulfovibrio spp., conducting multi-omics analysis to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying their physiology and pathogenicity. This position offers a stimulating research environment, excellent lab facilities, and the chance to be at the forefront of cutting-edge research.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Molecular Microbiology
Location: Planegg/Martinsried, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München
Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or biophysics
- Strong interest in working with obligate anaerobic bacteria
Job Description:
In this role, you will analyze the chemotactic and signaling capabilities of Desulfovibrio spp. using multi-omics approaches such as transcriptomics and proteomics. The aim is to identify the key players in the perception and response to environmental challenges. This is an interdisciplinary research project with a focus on sulfate-reducing bacteria’s role in health and ecology.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates are invited to submit their complete applications in English as a single PDF, including a CV, motivation statement, research experience, certificates, and contact information of two referees, to Prof. Dr. Kirsten Jung.
Last Date for Apply: August 22, 2024
