Research Area
The project is part of the €30 million SLDBattproject, targeting the advancement of sodium-based battery technologies suitable for long-duration applications.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Physics, or related field.
- Strong track record in physics-based modelling of batteries.
- Experience in C++/Python/Julia coding and using software like COMSOL Multiphysics.
- Hands-on experience in electrochemical testing and analytical techniques is preferred.
- Fluent in English with excellent collaboration skills.
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Design and scale up Na-salt battery systems with energy densities up to ~100 Wh/kg.
- Investigate physico-chemical phenomena within battery systems.
- Utilize multiphysics modelling and conduct electrochemical tests, including charge-discharge cycling.
- Collaborate closely with Exergy Storage and a team of researchers.
- Contribute to mentoring PhD, Master, and Bachelor students.
