Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in nanotechnology or a closely related field
- Documented research experience in developing Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and/or Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) for energy and environmental applications
- Knowledge and experience in adsorption and separation techniques
- Proficiency in relevant analytical techniques (gas adsorption, thermal analysis, electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, etc.)
- Very good written and spoken English skills
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will engage in both basic and applied research on porous organic materials (POMs), focusing on the green synthesis of COFs, POPs, and MOFs using sustainable low-cost monomers. Responsibilities include:
- Synthesizing POM-based membranes, monoliths, and aerogels
- Fabricating freestanding nanocomposites by integrating POMs with nanocellulose substrates
- Conducting structural characterization of obtained materials
- Developing applications in nanofiltration for water purification, gas separation, moisture absorption, and electricity generation through water evaporation
- Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary group and communicating research results through scientific articles and presentations at international conferences
