Postdoctoral Position in Nanotechnology with Focus on Applications of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs)
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Nanotechnology with a focus on the environmental applications of porous materials, specifically MOFs, for tasks such as gas separation, water treatment, catalysis, and drug delivery.
Location: Uppsala, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in chemistry, materials science, or an equivalent field.
- Documented knowledge and experience with porous materials, including metal-organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, or other porous polymers.
- Proficiency in X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, electron microscopy, and gas adsorption techniques.
- Excellent written and oral skills in English, along with the ability to produce high-quality scientific publications.
Job Description:
- Conduct synthesis and characterization of porous materials, emphasizing MOFs.
- Test materials for various sorption-related applications, such as greenhouse gas separation, PFAS sorption, water harvesting, and photocatalysis.
- Collaborate nationally and internationally on research projects.
- Supervise doctoral students, master’s students, and project students.
- Communicate research results through scientific articles and international conference presentations.
- Potentially contribute to teaching and participate in external research fund applications.
