Scholarship Description
The SAMS group at the Institut Charles Sadron (ICS) is offering a one-year postdoctoral position funded by IdEx 2024 from the University of Strasbourg. The project aims to explore visible light activation strategies for molecular motors in smart materials, focusing on photoactive organometallic systems. The successful candidate will engage in the synthesis and characterization of these compounds and the development of hybrid light-responsive polymer materials. The SAMS group is a leader in supramolecular chemistry and molecular machines, with a network of renowned international collaborators.

Eligibility

  • PhD in Molecular Chemistry with experience in organic and organometallic synthesis.
  • Knowledge of photophysics and/or (nano)materials science is advantageous.
  • Strong motivation, rigor, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience since PhD defense.

Required Documents

  • Detailed CV with a list of publications.
  • Cover letter.
  • Short research report.
  • Two letters of recommendation or contact details of two referees.

How to Apply
Interested candidates should send their applications to Cristina Cebrián Ávila at ccebrianavila@unistra.fr including all the required documents.
