Postdoctoral Position in Particle Physics: An exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Position is available at IP2I in Lyon, France, working within the CMS group at the CERN LHC. The candidate will primarily contribute to the study of the HH→ bb𝛾𝛾 channel as part of the Higgs sector, with additional involvement in tracking studies for the FCC project at CERN.

  • Eligibility/Qualification: The ideal candidate must hold a PhD in particle physics with a maximum of 3 years post-thesis experience. Strong expertise in collider data analysis, HEP software tools, and common programming languages is required. Fluency in English is essential, and previous experience in instrumentation would be desirable.
  • Job Description: The selected candidate will play a key role in CMS data analysis within the Higgs sector and contribute to the development of complete simulations for future trackers as part of the FCC accelerator project at CERN. They will be primarily involved in the study of the HH→ bb𝛾𝛾 channel as well as tracking studies for the FCC project at CERN. Moreover, they will collaborate with the IP2I group to finalize the analysis using the full Run 3 data sample and prepare the final publication.
