Research Area: Pharmaceutical Science – Drug Discovery for Neuropathic Pain
Location: Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in medicinal or organic chemistry
- Expertise in designing synthetic routes and varied multi-step organic synthesis
- Experience in structural characterization (NMR, mass spec, LC-MS, HPLC, and CHN)
- Preferred: Computational experience, especially in structure-based drug design
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute experiments independently
- Proficient in literature searches and scientific writing
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
Job Description: The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the drug discovery process, involving synthetic medicinal chemistry, structural characterization, and computational approaches. Responsibilities include designing synthetic routes, performing multi-step organic synthesis, and contributing to structure-based drug design.
