Postdoctoral Position in Photocatalysis and Microchannel Reactors
Chosun University is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the Heat Transfer Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to a newly funded artificial photosynthesis project focused on developing experimental photocatalytic microreactor systems.

Eligibility and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experimental experience in photocatalyst synthesis and photocatalytic experiments.
- Experience with microchannel, microfluidic, flow-cell, or microreactor systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience with PDMS-based microfluidic device fabrication or soft lithography is an advantage.
- Experience in photocatalytic CO₂ reduction, water splitting, electrochemistry, or related catalytic reaction systems is desirable.
- Experience with catalyst and reaction-product characterization techniques is preferred.
- Candidates should ideally have demonstrated the ability to independently design, build, and operate experimental systems.
Job Description
This is a primarily experimental position. The selected researcher will develop photocatalytic microreactor systems for artificial photosynthesis. Responsibilities include synthesizing and characterizing photocatalysts, fabricating or assembling microchannel reactors, integrating catalysts into reactor systems, and conducting photocatalytic experiments. The researcher will also evaluate gas/liquid flow behavior and reaction performance.
Position Details
- Starting date: As soon as possible
- Contract: One year, renewable depending on performance and project duration
- Salary: Starting from KRW 3 million per month
