Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in mathematical modeling or a related discipline
  • Experience in dynamical systems analysis applied to population dynamics/epidemiology required; knowledge of game theory is a plus
  • Strong programming skills (Python, Julia)
  • Proficiency in English with strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Autonomy and a collaborative mindset

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher’s primary role will involve:

  • Developing and analyzing mathematical models that account for metapopulation disease dynamics and cropping seasonality in a semi-discrete framework
  • Integrating behavioral dynamics using game theory approaches
  • Conducting theoretical and numerical analysis of model dynamics, including code development in Julia
  • Collaborating closely with project partners located across Sophia Antipolis, Rennes, Montpellier, the UK, and Germany
  • Writing scientific articles and participating in international conferences
