Your Responsibilities:
- Investigate the impact of genome structure and content variation on flowering adaptations during crop domestication
- Utilize genomics and molecular biology techniques, including next-generation sequencing, gene expression analysis, and precision genome editing
- Conduct wet and dry lab experiments, including work in growth chambers and greenhouses
- Collaborate closely with team members and external collaborators
- Assist in mentoring MSc and PhD students
- Potentially contribute to teaching duties for undergraduate and graduate biology students
- Seek personal fellowship programs for funding opportunities
Your Qualifications:
- PhD degree in a relevant field (biology, plant science, genetics, etc.)
- Strong background in biology with an interest in gene expression regulation, genome structure and function, and crop evolution
- Advanced knowledge of genetics and molecular biology
- Motivation to learn and develop new methods and techniques
- Experience in genome editing and gene expression analyses is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and within a team
- Fluency in spoken and written English
