Postdoctoral Position in Plant Molecular Biology: The Department of Forest Genetics and Plant Physiology at Umeå Plant Science Centre (UPSC) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher for a project aimed at generating superior plant lines in terms of biomass and resilience to stress. The successful candidate will utilize an optimized gene regulation circuit from Arabidopsis and apply it to barley and wheat. This project is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in molecular biology or a relevant field
- Experience in plant molecular biology research, particularly in Arabidopsis, barley, or wheat (preferred)
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to initiate, plan, and work independently as well as in a team
- Candidates with a doctoral degree obtained within the last three years are preferred
Job Description:
- Conduct research on gene regulation circuits influencing biomass generation and stress response in plants
- Apply molecular techniques including transformation, cloning, RT-qPCR, phenotyping, and CRISPR-Cas9
- Develop superior plant lines with optimized growth and stress resilience
- Investigate underlying molecular mechanisms of gene regulation in Arabidopsis, barley, and wheat
- Work collaboratively within a research group and contribute to scientific publications
