Eligibility / Qualification

  • PhD in Physics or related field (awarded within the last 3 years*)
  • Strong background in quantum mechanics
  • Experience in areas such as:
    • Quantum error correction
    • Open quantum systems
    • Quantum optics
    • Bosonic codes or continuous-variable quantum computing
    • Simulation of quantum systems
    • Resource theory
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C)
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Collaborative mindset, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

*Exceptions allowed for parental leave, illness, or military service.


Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Conduct theoretical research using analytical and numerical tools
  • Focus on bosonic codes, quantum simulation, and resource theory
  • Collaborate with experimentalists at Chalmers and international partners
  • Co-supervise PhD and Master’s students
  • Participate in the activities of the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT)
