Postdoctoral Position in Resolution of Inflammation: The Libreros lab at Yale University is seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow to join our Resolution of Inflammation Lab. The research is focused on the cellular, molecular, and biochemical mechanisms governing hematopoiesis and hematopoietic stem cell fate decisions during the resolution of inflammation and infection.
Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow
Research Area:
The research encompasses the elucidation of the molecular circuits governing the bone marrow following an inflammatory insult. Additional projects will explore the metabolomics networks that regulate tissue-specific responses during the resolution of inflammation or its failure.
Location: Yale University, Department of Pathology and Vascular Biology Therapeutic Program (VBT)
Eligibility/Qualification:
We are seeking a recent graduate with a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline, or less than 1.5 years of Postdoctoral experience. Prior experience in single-cell omics, Lipidomics, intravital microscopy, live cell imaging, mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS), and flow cytometry is highly desired. Experience with murine models is encouraged but not required.
Job Description:
The recruited postdoctoral fellow will engage in research under the supervision of Dr. Stephania Libreros to elucidate the molecular circuits governing the bone marrow following an inflammatory insult. Opportunities for the candidate include gaining expertise in lipidomics, metabolomics, or intravital microscopy, weekly one-on-one meetings to support both research and career development, and training in writing research proposals and delivering oral presentations.
How to Apply:
Please email Dr. Stephania Libreros at stephania.libreros@yale.edu with the subject “Post doctorate position” and attach a curriculum vitae, a cover letter stating your motivation for pursuing the opportunity in our group including your research interests and experience, and your formal qualifications. Additionally, provide the contact information of 2-3 references.
