Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD Requirement: Must have a PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in basic molecular biology methods (cell culture, cloning, confocal microscopy, Western blotting).
- Prior knowledge of DNA repair mechanisms.
- Experience with protein aggregation and/or neurodegeneration is a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent documenting and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will explore the roles of non-coding RNA and RNA-binding proteins in DNA repair processes using human cell lines, including patient-derived cells with genome instability. The aim is to uncover novel mechanisms regulating genome stability and contribute insights into the pathogenesis of related diseases. Potential focus areas include investigating synthetic oligonucleotides that resemble natural RNA and their effects on DNA damage signaling and repair.
