Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD in basic biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related field (must have graduated within the past year or be expected to graduate soon).
  • Expertise in RNA biology, epigenetics, metabolism, or aging is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with animal models (e.g., mice).
  • Proficiency in techniques such as qPCR, WB, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and mRNA-seq.
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for omics data analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description:

  • Conduct research on RNA modifications, focusing on m6A methylation and its adaptor proteins.
  • Design and execute experiments using advanced molecular biology, transcriptomics, epitranscriptomics, and cell-based assays.
  • Utilize mouse models to study the physiological relevance of m6A pathways in metabolism and DNA damage/senescence.
  • Analyze omics datasets, including transcriptomics and epitranscriptomics, to uncover novel regulatory mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to ongoing projects in the lab.
  • Prepare and publish high-impact manuscripts and present findings at national and international conferences.
