Research Area:
The research program includes the early neural stem cell niche, neural tube closure, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), metabolism, and cortical neuronal development with the goal of translating knowledge into regenerative strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders.
Location: Stanford University, Department of Neurosurgery
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in a biological science including biophysics
- Experience in hands-on laboratory work and experimental planning
- Completed a major project during doctoral training
- Preferred experience in brain development experimentation, molecular biology, and rodent models
- Preferred experience in 2P imaging and analysis for cellular migration and GCaMP
Job Description:
As a postdoc in Dr. Fame’s lab, you will conduct experiments, analyze data, collaborate to understand CSF electrolytes in brain development, present research progress, attend meetings, and contribute to discussions. Successful candidates are expected to bring motivation, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
