Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD degree in Chemistry (or equivalent).
  • Preferred expertise in physical chemistry, theoretical chemistry, or computational chemistry.

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in one of two key research directions:

  1. Application of quantum mechanical methods (QM/MM) to bioinorganic catalysts for C–H activation.
  2. Development of quantum chemical methods for transition metal systems, focusing on large, complex systems (proteins, enzymes, and condensed phases).

Join a dynamic and curiosity-driven research group, collaborating with other research teams within the Department and internationally. The appointment is expected to be flexible, starting in summer or autumn 2026 (latest December 2026).
