Postdoctoral Position in Therapeutics: The Han Lab for Cell-Instructive Biomaterials & Regenerative Engineering at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead a project focused on developing a biomaterial-based approach for the prevention and treatment of rotator cuff muscle degeneration. The lab employs multidisciplinary strategies to investigate cell-matrix interactions and engineer cell-instructive biomaterials for musculoskeletal regeneration.

Postdoctoral Position in Therapeutics for Skeletal Muscle Regeneration

Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow

Research Area: Therapeutics for Skeletal Muscle Regeneration, Biomaterials, Musculoskeletal Regeneration, Cell-Matrix Interactions

Location: Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, New York City

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering.
  • Profound knowledge of biomaterials.
  • Expertise in cell and drug delivery systems.
  • Proficiency in rodent surgical procedures.
  • Experience in preclinical studies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Description:

  • Lead a project on developing a biomaterial-based approach for rotator cuff muscle degeneration.
  • Receive comprehensive technical training in animal experimentation, biomaterials, skeletal muscle biology and physiology, muscle-tendon interactions, and regenerative rehabilitation.
  • Present findings at scientific meetings.
  • Draft manuscripts for publication.
