Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in synthetic chemistry or a similar field.
- Strong background in organic synthesis and transition metal catalysis.
- Familiarity with organometallic chemistry and the synthesis of organometallic complexes.
- Experience with technologies for carbon capture and utilization.
- Good communication skills and experience in writing drafts for publications.
- Experience with international collaborations.
- Ability to work independently and as an excellent team player.
Job Description
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of catalytic methods based on transition metal catalysis for converting specific plastic types into carbon capture materials. The position involves focusing on various catalytic processes and improving their performance for scaling up the production of CO2 capture materials. This includes their combined use in CO2 capture and conversion. The role requires involvement in independent and collaborative projects, working closely with other members of the CORC research center dedicated to CO2 capture and utilization.
