Postdoctoral Position in Translational Control: The Laboratory of RNA Biochemistry at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, led by RNDr. Martin Pospíšek, Ph.D., invites applications for a fully EU-funded postdoctoral position. The position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated molecular biologist/biochemist/cell biologist to investigate the role of non-canonical translation initiation factors in cancer and development. The laboratory is part of the newly formed RNA for Therapy Consortium and a founding member of the National Institute of Virology and Bacteriology.

Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates must:
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have significant training in molecular biology, biochemistry, or structural biology, demonstrated by publications.
- Early and advanced career scientists, as well as students nearing graduation, are encouraged to apply.
- Start date is flexible.
Job Description: The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic team and work in well-equipped laboratories with access to first-class service facilities at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague, and Biocev. The research will focus on non-canonical translation initiation factors in the context of cancer and development. Collaborations include the Genomics Core Facility at EMBL, Heidelberg, and the Department of Computer Science at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The laboratory is centrally located near the University Botanical Garden.
