Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Synthesis, or Electrocatalysis.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with vibrational and in-situ spectroscopy techniques are a plus.
  • Creative mindset, excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English with the ability to communicate research results effectively.
  • Team spirit and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will join the PCS group in the Department of Chemical Engineering and contribute to the project “Steering Formose Selectivity through Electrochemical Reduction of Aldehydes: Towards Conversion of Biomass to Green Artificial Sugars – FORESEE”. The research will focus on:

  • Investigating electrochemical conditions affecting the conversion process.
  • Identifying and optimizing process conditions to produce high concentrations of monomeric compounds.
  • Collaborating with industrial partners and contributing to the development of innovative materials and concepts for electrocatalytic reactions.
