Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, applied physics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in electrochemical cell testing and analytical techniques
- Knowledge of physics-based modeling of electrolysers
- Experience in experimental testing and modeling of high-temperature SOEL cells preferred
- Proficiency in coding languages such as C++, Python, Julia
- Excellent team player with strong motivation for tackling challenges in low carbon energy transition
- Fluent in English
Job Description:
In this two-year position, you will be responsible for identifying suitable monitoring parameters to track degradation of a SOEL lab-scale cell. This will involve combining physics-based performance modeling with long-term performance testing exceeding 1000 hours. You will define appropriate test protocols for long-term tests and integrate identified degradation parameters into the condition monitoring scheme of the Electrolyser Management System.
