Eligibility / Qualification
- Education: Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, chemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: Demonstrated several years of hands-on research experience in protein biochemistry, protein biophysics, and structural characterization.
- Technical Skills: * Strong expertise in recombinant protein expression and multi-step purification (affinity, ion-exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography).
- Proficiency with biophysical characterization methods (e.g., circular dichroism, fluorescence spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, SEC-MALS, analytical ultracentrifugation, ITC, and/or SPR).
- Hands-on experience with one or more structural techniques (cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, NMR, and/or negative-stain EM).
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, international team.
Job Description
- Produce, purify, and characterize disease-relevant proteins to high purity and yield.
- Lead biophysical and structural characterization and correlate structure with biological activity and toxicity.
- Design and optimize experiments, analyze and interpret data rigorously, and present findings internally and at conferences.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication and contribute to grant applications and reports.
