Postdoctoral position (Research Institute): The Research Institute of the MUHC is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a temporary full-time Postdoctoral position. The position is located at the SITE GLEN and involves conducting research on the molecular basis of early fetal loss and female infertility in humans. The successful candidate will work on studying the effect of mutations in specific genes on the maturation of mouse oocytes during in vitro culture, meiotic progression, and embryonic development.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- MD/PhD in biological sciences
- Experience in oocyte collection, maturation, parthenogenetic activation, and in-vitro fertilization in mice
- Ability to work independently and good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in work hours according to experimental designs
Job Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Breeding and maintaining two lines of knockout mice
- Collecting oocytes and performing single-cell RNA-sequencing
- Utilizing confocal immunofluorescence microscopy and live-imaging techniques
- Conducting in vitro fertilization and parthenogenetic activation
- Studying embryonic development through morphological analysis
