Postdoctoral Positions in Gravitational-Wave Physics: The Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute, AEI) in Potsdam invites applications for several postdoctoral positions in Gravitational-Wave Physics and Astrophysics. These positions vary in level and duration, spanning from 2 to 5 years. Postdoctoral Positions in Gravitational-Wave Physics and Astrophysics at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam

The “Astrophysical and Cosmological Relativity” (ACR) department, led by Alessandra Buonanno, comprises approximately 45 scientists, including permanent research group leaders, with strong affiliations to other renowned institutions. Our department focuses on a wide array of gravitational-wave astronomy aspects, spanning analytical modeling, numerical relativity, observations, machine learning, astrophysics, cosmography, and tests of gravity. We encourage our members to join prominent scientific collaborations in the field.

As a member of our department, you will have access to high-performance computing clusters and resources for cutting-edge research in gravitational-wave physics and astrophysics.

Note: The salary and social benefits, including health insurance, are based on the collective labor agreement “TVƶD Bund” for the German public sector, typically at pay grade E13. A salary projection based on TVƶD regulations will be provided if an offer is made.
