Designation: Postdoctoral Researchers
Research Area: Nucleation and Extinction in Non-equilibrium Statistical Field Theories
Location: University of Cambridge, UK
Salary Range: £36,024-£44,263
Eligibility/Qualifications:
- Strong familiarity with statistical field theory
- Some acquaintance with large deviation theory, or vice versa
- Ability to combine analytical and numerical skills
- PhD in a relevant field
Job Description:
- Develop analytical and numerical tools for the four-fold path project
- Explore rare events associated with phase transitions and extinctions
- Plan and manage research objectives and projects
- Prepare proposals and applications for external funding
- Communicate technical material and build contacts
- Supervise student projects and develop research skills
- Instruction and seminar delivery on research topics
