Postdoctoral – Prof. Lijun Chai’s Laboratory: Join the dynamic research team at Huazhong Agricultural University’s National Key Laboratory for Germplasm Innovation and Utilization of Horticultural Crops. We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to explore important aspects of horticultural crop biology, specifically focusing on reproductive development in citrus and related crops.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Recently obtained or soon-to-be awarded Ph.D. (≤3 years post-degree, age ≤35) in Horticulture, Biology, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in plant biology and horticulture, with a demonstrated ability to lead independent research projects.
  • Proven research skills, including at least one first-author publication in a high-quality SCI-indexed journal and fluency in English.
  • Preferred expertise in molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, or synthetic biology.

Job Description:

  • Design and execute research projects under the mentorship of Prof. Lijun Chai.
  • Contribute to grant writing and lab management.
  • Co-supervise students and collaborate with team members.
  • Engage in innovative research aiming to solve challenges like self-incompatibility and parthenocarpy in citrus crops.
