Eligibility/Qualification

  • Essential:
  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, biophysics, computational biology, bioinformatics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: protein biochemistry, molecular biology, virology, cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), or machine learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with Python and other programming languages.
  • Data analysis experience of single-particle cryo-EM images and/or tomography data.
  • Hands-on experience with cryo-focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy (cryo-FIB/SEM).

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in groundbreaking research that combines protein design, structural biology, and synthetic biology with AI-driven approaches. The aim is to engineer protein cages, nanomachines, and other biomolecules with precise functions and explore new methods to manipulate biological systems. This position focuses on developing imaging tools for cryo-EM and therapeutic platforms that address critical challenges in cancer and human health.
