Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in bioinformatics, computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
- Strong skills in programming languages, specifically Python and R.
- Experience in writing bioinformatics and AI/ML analysis pipelines for spatial transcriptomics and single-cell genomics data.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Job Description
You will contribute to a Royal Society funded project focusing on the mechanical determinants of cell fate decisions and tissue dynamics in lung regeneration and fibrosis. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining bioinformatics and AI/ML data analysis pipelines for single-cell and spatial multi-omics data.
- Analyzing spatial multimodal datasets from patient tissues and mouse models for collaborative projects.
- Advising colleagues on computational methodologies and supervising technical staff and research students.
- Contributing to open-source bioinformatics projects is highly desirable.
