Postdoctoral Research Associate: Join the University of Exeter’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Dr. Nikolas Nikolaou in conducting laboratory-based research to elucidate the extra-nuclear function of SNRNP70, a major spliceosome protein, in modulating the axonal transcriptome and regulating neuronal connectivity.

- Research Area: RNA biology, neuroscience, molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing in zebrafish, primary neuron cultures, transcriptome analysis using RNA-Seq, cell biology, imaging studies for monitoring RNA dynamics in real time.

- Eligibility/Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant field, prior experience in RNA biology and/or neuroscience preferred. Candidates with relevant experience from other disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
- Job Description: The successful applicant will be involved in molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing in zebrafish, primary neuron cultures, and transcriptome analysis using RNA-Seq.
