Eligibility/Qualification

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research on host-microbiome interactions during population declines by bioinformatically analyzing genomic and metagenomic data from museum specimens.
The responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the sampling of museum-preserved specimens and associated oral microbiomes from natural history collections.
  • Processing samples in the ancient DNA lab.
  • Conducting original research and disseminating findings through refereed papers, conference presentations, and seminars.

Key Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in bioinformatics and large-scale datasets.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Training in molecular biology techniques and conservation genomics analyses.
