Eligibility/Qualification:
- A DPhil/PhD in life sciences.

- Experience in plant systems is not required.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and excellent record-keeping abilities.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Lead a project analyzing Capsella species, focusing on independent transitions to selfing.
- Identify common (epi)genomic features associated with the transition to self-fertilization, including examining host defenses against transposons and their impacts on nearby genes.
- Work collaboratively in a larger effort within the Mosher lab and the University of Georgia.
- Provide guidance to less experienced research group members, including assistants, technicians, and students.
- Utilize this project as a foundation for additional research questions, with the potential to develop an independent research program supported by Prof. Mosher.
Salary:
Grade 7: £38,674 – £43,171 per annum
