Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology or Biochemistry, or a related discipline with demonstrated expertise in GPCR biology.
- Extensive research experience in a wide range of cell biology techniques such as luminescent assays, neuroscience assays, immunoassays, and microscopy.
- Understanding of mammalian neurobiology.
- Excellent presentation skills with a record of national and international presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to teach and mentor graduate students.
- Proficient in troubleshooting experiments and novel research tool development.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to participate in collaborative research projects.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct research investigating the impact of MariTide on human neuronal cell models, including those from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
- Assist in analyzing spatial transcriptomic data from mouse brains treated with MariTide.
- Present research findings nationally and internationally, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Provide guidance to graduate students and other research group members in molecular biology and cellular imaging techniques.
- Support Principal Investigator in preparing manuscripts and applications for funding.
