Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields (must have or expect to receive shortly).
- Strong expertise in conducting ultrafast time-resolved optical experiments.
- Good publication record with demonstrated technical writing skills (preprints are welcome).
- Experience in areas such as nonlinear optics, electrical switching, high-frequency electronics, and thermal transport physics is beneficial but not required.
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing, assembling, and aligning ultrafast optical setups.
- Integrating setups with measurement electronics for data acquisition.
- Leading independent research projects while collaborating with and mentoring junior lab members.
- Communicating findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
