Eligibility/Qualification
- Required:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Virology, Immunology, or a related biomedical field.
- Preferred:
- Experience working with mouse models, viruses, helminth models, and immune cells.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, cloning, sequencing, CRISPR-Cas).
- Familiarity with virology techniques and immunological assays.
- Background in data analysis and scientific writing.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct research on projects including:
- Characterizing immune responses to flaviviruses and alphaviruses.
- Investigating dendritic cells’ roles in modulating T cell immunity.
- Studying immune responses to viral vaccines and helminth-induced modulation.
- Work mostly with mouse models; prior experience is preferred but training will be provided.
- Collaborate actively within the research community and engage with opportunities for presenting research at national and international conferences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research under the PI’s supervision.
- Analyze and summarize research data, and contribute to publication efforts.
- Assist with lab maintenance procedures and mentor junior lab members.
