The Mathematics and Statistics Department at ODU seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop, analyze, and implement new high-order positivity-preserving entropy stable spectral collocation schemes for the 3-D compressible Navier-Stokes equations on unstructured grids. The successful candidate will validate these schemes against existing numerical and experimental data.

Research Area:
Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Education: PhD degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Skills: Broad knowledge in numerical methods for PDEs and strong hands-on experience in developing and debugging large codes in Fortran 90 or C++.
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in research on all topics of the project.
- Developing and debugging a testbed code and executing it on multiprocessor computers.
- Presenting research findings at scientific conferences and seminars.
- Publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
- Supervising the research of a graduate student participating in the project.
