Postdoctoral Research Associate: The University of Exeter’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support Prof. Steven West’s work. This Wellcome Trust-funded position is available immediately for a three-year fixed term. The successful candidate will investigate RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) transcription regulation in human cells, focusing on premature transcriptional termination mechanisms and their impact on gene expression. Training will be provided in molecular biology methods, including CRISPR/Cas9 genome modification, transcriptomic approaches, and associated bioinformatic analyses. The role includes the opportunity to explore projects related to premature termination pathways controlled by ZC3H4 or the Integrator complex, or to develop new projects.
