Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential Criteria:
- PhD qualified in relevant subject area (or submitted thesis awaiting award).
- Undergraduate degree in relevant subject area (sciences, computer science, or engineering).
- Prior experience in image analysis (microscopy or computer vision).
- Programming experience.
- Ability to carry out research and communicate findings effectively.
- Planning and troubleshooting skills.

- Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in fluorescence microscopy.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices (version control, testing).
- Knowledge of deep learning-based image processing/analysis.
Job Description
The post holder will contribute to a multidisciplinary project focusing on how metabolism is investigated through various microscopy methods, such as fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) and optical coherence techniques. Responsibilities include:
- Developing a software platform for integrating information from different imaging modalities and methods.
- Creating plugins for the Python-based multi-dimensional data viewer, napari.
- Aggregating existing techniques for FLIM analysis, managing large multi-dimensional datasets, and applying machine learning/AI techniques.
