Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or Computer Science with expertise in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics.
  • Knowledge of machine learning tools and their application to genomic data (preferred).
  • Programming skills in Python, R, and other scientific research languages.

Job Description: As a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Bioinformatician), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up HPC bioinformatic resources within the University of Sydney informatic hub for the research group.
  • Analyzing genomic and epigenomic data and generating reports.
  • Contributing to the preparation of scientific publications and participating in grant writing.
  • Collaborating with the Meniere disease Neuroscience group and international teams for genome and epigenome analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience in human genomic data analysis.
