Postdoctoral Research Associate – Biostatistics: Washington University Medical Campus is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate in Biostatistics to join the Zhang Lab at the Institute for Informatics, Data Science, and Biostatistics (I2DB). The lab focuses on developing and applying innovative causal machine learning to electronic health record (EHR) and claims databases to advance clinical and regulatory decision-making.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• PhD in computer science, statistics, biomedical informatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, engineering, or related quantitative fields.
• Experience in deep learning, representation learning, federated learning, causal inference, or other machine learning and artificial intelligence-related modeling.
• Track record of scientific productivity.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Research Associate will:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models.
• Write SQL queries to extract data from large-scale databases.
• Preprocess data for model training, including imputing missing values and removing outliers.
• Review literature in medicine, computer science, and statistics for related research projects.
• Collaborate with clinical researchers for real-world evidence generation from EHR and claims data.
