Postdoctoral Research Associate – Computational Biology: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Abraham Lab. The successful candidate will study gene dysregulation and genome organization in pediatric cancers, contributing to interdisciplinary efforts focused on chromatin-modifying enzymes as emerging drug targets.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Required:

  • Strong candidates from a primarily wet-lab or clinical background who wish to develop computational skills are encouraged to apply
  • Track record of scientific productivity (e.g., first author paper)
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with high-throughput sequencing analysis methods
  • Knowledge of gene expression mechanisms and ability to visualize data using R

Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead computationally focused research projects with increasing independence
  • Collaborate on project and analysis design with their Principal Investigator (PI)
  • Develop new computational methods and adhere to field standards for data analysis
  • Identify, process, organize, and report relevant data
  • Present research findings to colleagues and draft complex manuscripts
  • Engage in collaborative research within and beyond the lab
