Postdoctoral Research Associate – Genome: The Genome Organization and Regulation Research Group at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The successful candidate will contribute to the molecular and computational analyses of 3D genome regulation. This position is part of the ERC Starting grant project “3D-REG – Shedding light on three-dimensional gene regulation” led by Marieke Oudelaar.

Postdoctoral Research Associate – Molecular and Computational Analyses of 3D Genome Regulation

Location: Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Göttingen, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or computational biology.
  • Experience and a proven track record in a related research field (chromatin, epigenetics, transcription, or gene regulation) are advantageous but not required.
  • Curiosity-driven and passionate about science.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and enthusiastic about working in an international, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environment.
  • German language skills are not required; the working language is English.

Job Description:

  • Conduct research on the 3D organization of the genome, mechanisms of structure formation, and gene expression regulation.
  • Utilize molecular and computational biology approaches tailored to the candidate’s interests.
  • Collaborate within an international, multidisciplinary, and collaborative working environment.
  • Contribute to the ERC Starting grant project “3D-REG.”
