Research Area

The role focuses on the development, characterization, and in vivo evaluation of ocular delivery systems. Key research areas include:

  • Development of drug nanocrystals, polymeric micelles, and lipid nanoformulations.
  • Synthesis of pharmaceutical ionic liquids and deep eutectic systems.
  • Ocular pharmacokinetics and ex vivo permeation studies (rabbit/pig corneas).

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Required:
    • PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3–4 years of research experience in the development and in vivo evaluation of ocular nanoformulations.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with microneedles, ocular pharmacokinetics in rabbits, and animal models of ocular infections.
    • Proficiency in analytical techniques (NMR, FT-IR, MS, DSC/TGA, HPLC).
    • Experience in nanoparticle, liposome, and micelle synthesis.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will assist Principal Investigator Dr. Abhijit Date in both research and laboratory administration. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting experimental analysis (solubility, stability, drug release) using HPLC/LC-MS.
  • Performing cell culture and animal studies.
  • Managing laboratory operations, including biosafety, chemical safety, and animal protocol compliance.
  • Supervising undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Preparing progress reports and scientific manuscripts for publication.
