Eligibility/Qualification

  • Essential Criteria:
  • PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Molecular Biology or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong research track record in biocatalysis or protein engineering, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Experience in enzyme engineering, protein expression and mutagenesis and/or directed evolution.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative research team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in organic synthesis.
  • Experience developing high-throughput assays for enzyme screening.
  • Experience working with industrial partners or industry-facing research projects.
  • Experience supporting or training students or early-career researchers.

Job Description

As a Research Associate, you will:

  • Design and conduct high-quality research in protein engineering and biocatalysis.
  • Develop innovative experimental protocols and biocatalytic approaches.
  • Apply protein redesign, library generation, and high-throughput screening or selection methods.
  • Collaborate closely with academic and industrial partners to deliver industry-focused research outputs.
  • Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications, reports, and presentations.
