Eligibility/Qualification:
- A PhD degree or submitted thesis in a relevant area (e.g., biological science or a numeric discipline with experience in experimental research).
- Knowledge of cardiovascular biology.
- UK Home Office Personal Licence.
- Experience with animal vascular disease models.
- Expertise in establishing primary cell cultures and conducting functional assays.
- A strong publication record is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in molecular and cell biology and animal surgery is a plus.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct research focused on identifying intrinsic and extrinsic signals that regulate the cellular responses underlying vascular diseases.
- Analyze large datasets, ensuring a meticulous approach to data management and interpretation.
- Engage in mechanistic and functional analysis using both in vitro and in vivo disease models.
- Collaborate proactively with internal and external partners to enhance the research impact.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and manage research projects effectively, including writing scientific manuscripts and reports.
