Eligibility / Qualifications

  • Education: Ph.D. in the natural sciences, preferably in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Practical and theoretical expertise in protein production, purification, and crystallization.
    • Solid practical and theoretical knowledge in X-ray crystallographic structure determination of proteins.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability and enthusiasm to work both independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary, international team.
    • High motivation to present research findings at international conferences.
    • Strong creative and problem-solving skills.

Job Description / Tasks

  • Recombinant production, purification, and crystallization of target proteins.
  • X-ray crystallographic analysis of protein crystals, including data collection, processing, and structure determination.
  • Identification and evaluation of potential inhibitors using structural biology and in silico approaches.
  • Oral and written presentation of research outputs, including publications and conference proceedings.
