Eligibility/Qualification: The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Required Education: Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Neuroscience, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Required Skills:
- Expertise in one or more molecular biology techniques (qPCR, ELISA, etc.).
- Expertise in primary cell culture, rodent models, or both.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse interdisciplinary teams.
- Required Certifications: Driver’s License required.
Job Description: As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will:
- Fabricate drug delivery systems for inflammation modulation, both local and systemic.
- Investigate the role of inflammation in brain damage associated with traumatic injury.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, including undergraduate students, graduate students, and research staff.
- Conduct research associated with an NIH-sponsored project.
- Explore additional research topics within the laboratory’s focus areas, including drug delivery, immunomodulation, brain injury, and brain tissue models.
- Collaborate with researchers at various University of Oklahoma departments and research centers.
