Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in plant biology/genetics, human nutrition, physiology, nutritional epidemiology, biotechnology, food systems, or closely related fields (within 5 years of obtaining).

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Plant Geneticist/ Plant Physiologist Positions:
  • Execute experiments for measuring plant nutrient accumulation.
  • Conduct studies in both greenhouse and field conditions.
  • Perform wet-lab methods for metabolomics, ionomics, and genomics.
  • Nutrition-Related Positions:
  • Design studies to examine the effects of diet on health outcomes.
  • Develop mechanistic studies linking food components to health.
  • Innovate methods linking the food nutrition environment with health.

Ongoing Projects:

  • Investigate micronutrient uptake, secondary metabolite accumulation, and genotype-environment interactions.
  • Research on maternal obesity, nutrition, and the impact of novel foods on health.
