Postdoctoral Research Fellow:
The University of Michigan’s Muscle Biology Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to explore the mechanisms of exercise and diet regulation on glucose uptake and insulin/AMPK signaling in skeletal muscle. This opportunity provides an extensive platform for collaborative and independent research in a dynamic university setting.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D., M.D., or D.V.M. in Biological Sciences.
- High motivation for cell biology, molecular biology, biochemical, and/or physiological research using rodent models.
- Technical skills with cellular, molecular, biochemical, and physiological methods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with siRNA, shRNA, and/or AAV methods in vivo (preferred).
- Experience with tissue fractionation, especially skeletal muscle (preferred).
- Experience with confocal/light microscopy (preferred).
Job Description:
The successful candidate will conduct advanced research into the molecular pathways influencing skeletal muscle glucose uptake, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques in a supportive and innovative environment. Responsibilities include working collaboratively within the Muscle Biology Laboratory and engaging with a network of researchers across the University of Michigan and beyond.
