This exciting opportunity, funded by Wellcome, involves researching cis-regulatory mechanisms controlling developmental cell fate choice, particularly focusing on gene silencing during development. The successful candidate will contribute to the collaborative Delas research team and engage in interdisciplinary studies from molecular mechanisms to in vivo phenotypic consequences.

Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Research Area:

  • Molecular and Cell Biology
  • Developmental Biology
  • Stem Cell Models of Differentiation
  • Gene Expression
  • Epigenetic Analysis
  • Cis-regulatory Mechanisms
  • Neural Tube Development

Location: London, UCL Bloomsbury Campus

Eligibility/Qualification:
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant biomedical discipline or a concrete plan to defend a Ph.D. thesis shortly. Additionally, candidates should possess a good understanding of developmental biology or stem cell models, extensive knowledge of research techniques related to gene expression and epigenetic analysis, experience in data analysis (e.g., bioinformatics, image analysis), a strong research track record, and the ability to lead and manage a research project.

Job Description:

  • Investigate cis-regulatory mechanisms controlling developmental cell fate choice
  • Study gene silencing during development
  • Engage in interdisciplinary research from molecular mechanisms to in vivo phenotypic consequences
